Nursery + Preschool

(Birth-Pre-K) Our nursery provides a safe, clean, and loving environment for your baby during our services. We are ready to help your little one grow and learn!

Elementary School

(Kindergarten-5th Grade) Your children will build friendships, have fun and learn about Jesus’ love for them through creative lessons, games, and songs. Your child’s safety is ensured through dependable, background-checked leaders. Our goal is that your child will leave every week knowing Jesus loves them, we believe in them, and that church can be fun.

Wednesday Nights

We understand that weekdays can be busy and we want to provide a space where children can take a break and focus on their faith. We invite you to join us for a midweek experience that will leave your child feeling energized and excited about their faith journey.

Exciting Events

We offer a variety of exciting events throughout the year that are designed to bring children together in fellowship and help them deepen their relationship with God. From hang out days, camps, and seasonal events, there’s always something going on!

First Time Visitors

Visiting us for the first time? When you arrive, you will be able to meet someone from the Children’s Ministry team who will be able to show you where our children’s activities are held. For safety, all participating children must have a completed registration sheet. Click below to fill out a registration sheet ahead of time and email it to angie@mumc.net. Or you can complete a registration form upon arrival.

Sunday Mornings

We believe that children are a vital part of our community, and we are committed to providing a safe and engaging environment for them to learn and grow in their faith. We invite you to join us for a fun-filled and meaningful Sunday morning experience.

  • • Childcare with lesson available during service for birth-PreK.
  • • Bible Story and Activity Time offered to elementary-aged children during service. Children start and end with you in service. We will call them to join us prior to the sermon.
  • • Junior Youth (4th and 5th grade) meets most Sundays, 12:00-2:30 PM, on the Mandarin campus.

Wednesday Nights

Join us from August to May for Wednesday Nights at the Mandarin campus! We understand that weekdays can be busy, and we want to provide a space where children can take a break and focus on their faith. We invite you to join us for a midweek experience that will leave your child feeling energized and excited about their faith journey with elementary group activities and choir practice for 3 yr old and up. Childcare is also available for Birth-PreK children whose parents are attending a class.

  • – Childcare Room – 6:00-8:00 PM in FLC 834
  • – Elementary Activities –6:00-8:00 PM in FLC 837

What are the Children Learning?

Elementary

Elementary
In April our Elementary group will be focusing on the fact that Jesus is alive! We can have joy because of what Jesus did for us. When we look at God’s Big Story, we can see that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection were God’s plan all along.
  • Week One: Easter (Crucified and Risen) (John 18-20:23)
    • Bottom Line: You can have joy because Jesus is alive.
  • Week Two: On the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35)
    • Bottom Line: You can have joy because there’s a bigger story.
  • Week Three: Great Commission and Ascension (Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 1:1-11)
    • Bottom Line: You can have joy because God is with you.
  • Week Four: Pentecost / Fruit of the Spirit (Acts 2:1-41)
    • Bottom Line: God’s Spirit gives you joy.
Memory Verse: Always be joyful because you belong to the Lord. I will say it again. Be joyful! (Philippians 4:4, NIrV)
 

Preschool

During the month of April our preschoolers will learn that we can be forgiven because of what Jesus did on the cross. We can be with Jesus forever because the tomb is empty. We have so much to celebrate! Jesus is alive! And Jesus wants to be our friend forever! News that is this good is too good to keep to ourselves!
  • Week One: Easter* (Matthew 26:31-32, 36, 47-50; 27:1-2, 11-66; 28:1-8)
  • Week Two: Breakfast on the Beach (John 21:1-14)
  • Week Three: Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20)
  • Week Four: Heaven (John 14:3; Revelation 21, 22:1-5)
Bottom Line: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
